Career preparatory, practice-oriented study visits abroad (BPSA)
STUBE-BW finances students from Africa, Asia and Latin America studying in Baden-Württemberg and with an interest and involvement in development issues. This financing enables the student to travel back to their home country and carry out research relevant to their studies or undertake an internship in their home country.
This trip allows the students, who would otherwise not be able to afford, after many years of studies in Germany the chance to travel back home and once again experience first hand the social and political realities of their home country. Through an internship, the students are able to gain experience in their field of study from their home country and thereafter orient themselves better in their studies to the needs of their home country.
This home stay allows the student to put into perspective any conceptions about their home country that may have been acquired during their stay in Germany. Fears concerning their future return home could be reduced and enable the student to develop new perspectives regarding their career back at home. Meeting of family and friends again serves as a spiritual and emotional regeneration.
STUBE-BW offers a pre and post preparation seminar for prospective and successful applicants.
The application is in written form and must be fully completed before sending to STUBE-BW.
